Bernie is a permanent resident here at HUHA Animal Sanctuary. He is so full of character and very charming indeed. He came to us through the SPCA after Ben Lakomy took this on as his project. Bernie had been running free for 2 years after escaping from the abbatoir nearby. When they finally caught him, his woolly coat was shawn and weighed a whopping 5kgs! He now resides at the sanctuary with other animals including our two emu’s, a goat, another sheep and a variety of native and other birds. Locally he was known as 'Johnsonville Shrek' but here he has adopted the name Bernie.
